As a result of the asset acquisition of Pentadyne Corporation’s flywheel manufacturing business in July 2010, PSI is proud to announce the creation of its newest entity: POWERTHRU.

Phillips Service Industries Acquires Assets of Pentadyne Corporation’s Flywheel Manufacturing Business

Phillips Service Industries (PSI), an international service and manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, semiconductor and other manufacturing markets, announced today that it acquired the assets of Pentadyne Corporation’s flywheel manufacturing business, which is a key component of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solutions.

PSI is in the process of setting up production for the flywheel manufacturing business in our Livonia, Michigan facility,” said Bob Phillips, Vice President of Marketing for PSI. “We are fully committed to improving the quality behind this proven technology. The product will no longer carry the Pentadyne name, but will be rebranded to reflect improved quality and functionality. Further updates regarding this launch and rebranding will be available in the coming weeks ." 

 Manufacturing operations at POWERTHRU are expected to begin in early 2011.
